Why We Built This Site
Kansas provides several public access paths, but each path serves a different purpose. Kansas CaseSearch may display basic case detail and permitted events. The Morton County Clerk of the District Court maintains the official state trial-court record, assists with the courthouse terminal, and handles copy requests. Elkhart and Rolla keep municipal ordinance matters through their own city offices, while PACER serves federal cases. We bring those distinctions, official contacts, number formats, and request steps together so readers can start with the custodian that actually holds the record.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Morton County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of the Kansas Judicial Branch, Morton County government, or any municipal court. Its role has clear limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set those charges or control the returned information. Official Morton County court information must still be confirmed with the court or clerk that created it.
